The designs of Gilbert Poillerat and Jean-Henri Jansen that were made for Maison Jansen in the mid-twentieth century inspired the Gilt Twist Bronze Cocktail Table. Design notes on this gold cocktail table include the twisting wrought-iron frame, the way the rope-like metal embraces the inset glass top, and the gilt bronze finish.
The designs of Gilbert Poillerat and Jean-Henri Jansen inspired the attributes of the Gilt Twist Rectangular Table, the classic bronze predecessors that were made for Maison Jansen in the mid-twentieth century the jumping off point for the piece. The twisting wrought iron frame that flows around the top to embrace the inset glass has been treated to a gilt bronze finish. Wrought iron was particularly associated with Poillerat, who had a decidedly art deco bent to his designs.
